Since this is a book to movie comparison I won't go into too much detail. I will mainly be comparing my favorite aspects of each as well as some things I disliked.

The Book

• Favorite Character- Isaac
• Favorite Part- The part where they were playing video games with Isaac
• Least Favorite Character- Monica
• Least Favorite Part - None 

The Movie

• Favorite Character- Gus
• Favorite Part- Diner Scene
• Least Favorite Character- Peter Van Houten
• Least Favorite Part - When they were at the Anne Frank house...it was just kinda awkward okay? okay.

Overall Comparison

So as always the book is better. I mean that is like a universal law. However I did think while the movie adaption did leave out a few major details they did stay true to the story. I think that this is one of those very rare times where the movie actually did live up to the book. Of course we didn't see much of Monica and (in my opinion) didn't see enough of Isaac. Then there were the few minor characters that were completely left out such as Gus's half sisters. However we can't ignore how well everything fell together for instance Peter Van Houtan's character  (played by Willam Dafoe) was spectacular in both the book and the movie. I really do encourage you to read the book if you haven't already it is amazing!
